Healthy Banana Oat Bars
Ingredients
  • 1 cup wholemeal flour
  • Half tablespoon baking soda
  • Quarter tablespoon salt
  • 120g brown sugar
  • 100g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3 ripe small bananas
  • 1 cup Quaker instant oatmeal
  • Half cup pitted dates
  • Half cup walnuts, chopped
Procedure
  1. Stir together flour, baking soda and mix well
  2. Beat butter and brown sugar with electric mixer until well blended
  3. Add egg and bananas, then add flour mixture and mix well
  4. Mix in oats, dates and walnuts
  5. Spread evenly in baking pan and bake 30 minutes at 180 degrees C
  6. Cool completely in pan on wire rack and cut into bars
